Open Letter to BOHS supporters

Dear BOHS Football Supporters,

This the season is off to a fabulous start and the Wildcats have a great chance of extending their season this year into the CIF playoffs! We want everyone to get on board, support our teams, and cheer them on to VICTORY!

That being said, The Booster Club also needs your support! As you may or may not know, The Booster Club is responsible for the majority of equipment and program needs. With the changes in our economy the past few years, we receive little to no funding assistance from the School or the District. So when our Football Program has a need, the only way to meet that need is by fund raising and donations.

Besides paying for the Coaching Staff (those not on staff at BOHS), here are a few examples of where your fund raising dollars have gone, just this year:

$4500 Green Game Pants
$2000 White Game Pants
$3000 Trap Chute (Training Equipment)
$350 Water System for practice and home games for Frosh and JV

The Booster Club also pays for half of the pregame meals as well as the post game meals for Varsity each week. And the list goes on and on. Hopefully you can see why we truly need everyone’s support!

SO….it’s not too late to become a Booster Club Member! We changed the cost of membership this year to encourage everyone to join. It ranges from only $25 to $200. You can go to our website and join with PayPal, credit, or debit cards online. Just click on Booster Club link on the homepge. All the details are there for you to see. Or mail in your membership to PO Box 1643, Brea, CA 92822.

We also have our Booster Club Election coming up and you MUST be a Booster Club Member in order to vote in the election! So if you want to have a say in how the club runs, join today!!

In addition to memberships, we also have a few fundraisers in the works. We have a couple dinner nights coming up and you will be sent reminders, but here are dates for your calendars:

Dinner Night at the Soup Plantation

5:00pm to 8:00pm
15% of the proceeds will be given to the Booster

Dinner night at Chick-Fil-A
Wednesday November 9, 2011

We are also teaming up with Cheer again and hosting a night at the Improv!! Details will follow shortly, but the tentative date is November 20, 2011!

The Wildcats are having an awesome year and need your support more than ever. Please take a moment to see what you can do to help support the program. It’s up to us to give them the tools they need in order to be the best!
